Viva Paper Towels

I really dislike spending more than I absolutely have to on disposable products.  Toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates and trash bags rank at the top of my 'wish I didn't have to buy' list.  Sometimes you get what you pay for.  I usually buy the Bounty Basic Paper towels and I have been 100% satisfied with them. A few weeks ago I found a great deal on Viva paper towels and decided to give them a tray.  WOW.

These towels were strong, soft and absorbent.  Using a Viva towel was more akin to using a dish towel than a paper towel.  I can't say I'll use paper towels more using Viva.  I'm a firm believer in being green and use dishtowels religiously for most things.  I can say that as long as the price is right I'll continue using Viva and recommend that you try them out too.

Check your local Publix to score a roll for 50cents and try them for yourself.

Tai Pei Frozen Dinners

Skillet Meals with Rice

Let's talk about frozen dinners.
I had a terrible frozen dinner for lunch today.  Maybe I should say I tried to have it for lunch; it was so bad it went straight into the trash can.
Tai Pei Beef and Broccoli--don't buy it.  In December I received a coupon to try it for free; I am so glad I didn't pay for it.  The sauce was thick, gummy and tasted of corn starch.  The 'beef' was poorly represented in tiny, chewy chunks.  The rice was oddly over and undercooked simultaneously and the I couldn't even bring myself to taste the anemic looking broccoli.
Bottom line; if you like frozen meals for convenience don't buy these!
